Princess Valeria

Princess Valeria is the princess of the Land of Ingary. We first meet her in Howl’s Moving Castle, as an infant. Her father, the king, mentions that princes often come seeking her hand in marriage without checking their research in regards to her age, only to reconsider once they discover that she is a child. As the novel is a parody of fairy-tale tropes, the inclusion of this scene is a sendup of the tendency for the hero to marry into royalty at the end of the narrative.
